Shubman Gill Scores Second Test Century on Day Three of Ind vs Aus Matchin the third day of the India vs Australia Test match, all eyes were on the young Indian opener, Shubman Gill, who had already made a name for himself in the previous Test series against Australia. And boy, did he deliver! With a composed and confident innings, Shubman Gill registered his second Test century in style, helping India take control of the game.

The 21-year-old started the day on a cautious note, with the Australian bowlers trying to test his patience with some early swing and bounce. But Gill remained unfazed and gradually found his rhythm, piercing the gaps in the field with his elegant stroke-play. He was particularly severe on the short balls, pulling and hooking with authority, much to the frustration of the Australian bowlers.

Gill's century came in the post-lunch session, as he completed a single off Pat Cummins, much to the delight of his teammates and fans watching from home. It was a moment of sheer joy and pride for the young opener, who had worked hard to cement his place in the Indian Test team.

What was impressive about Gill's innings was his composure and maturity, as he batted with a clear plan and executed it to perfection. He took calculated risks and played with a positive intent, not letting the pressure of the occasion get to him.

Gill's partnership with Cheteshwar Pujara was crucial in taking India to a commanding position, as they added 114 runs for the second wicket. Pujara, who is known for his dogged defence, played the perfect foil to Gill's attacking stroke-play, and together they frustrated the Australian bowlers.

Gill eventually fell for 114, caught behind off the bowling of Pat Cummins, but not before he had put India in a commanding position. His innings had seven fours and two sixes and came at a strike rate of 62.22.

Overall, Shubman Gill's performance on day three was a testament to his skill, talent, and temperament, and it bodes well for the future of Indian cricket.
